Moravian Lives Sweden presents the Swedish part of the wider Moravian Lives research resource. The site brings together digitized historical materials connected to the Moravian Church — Brödrakyrkan — in Stockholm, making them available for research, teaching, and public exploration.

The Swedish collection offers insight into Moravian religious life, social networks, mobility, and life-writing traditions in a Scandinavian context. It forms part of a larger international effort to document and study the lives of members of the Moravian Church from the eighteenth century to the present.

Moravian Lives began as a collaborative digital humanities project between institutions in Sweden, the United States, and Germany. In its early phase, the project developed a database, map interface, and digital environment for exploring Moravian life-writing and biographical metadata across time and space.

The main Moravian Lives resource is now hosted and further developed at Moravian University, through the Institute for Moravian History and World Heritage. Moravian Lives Sweden is maintained and developed at GRIDH — Gothenburg Research Infrastructure in Digital Humanities, University of Gothenburg — as a complementary site dedicated to the Swedish materials and their research context.
